Lead Product Designer (Contract). Design system consistency across LCBO purchase platforms and internal government sign-on portals.
Senior Product Designer — Banking, Platforms & Startups
About
I've spent 5+ years designing inside both regulated banks and early-stage startups — building the interface systems that decide whether users trust a product enough to stay.
From an internal treasury platform used by traders to founding-designer roles at two startups, my work sits at the intersection of complex systems and clean execution — component libraries, Figma-to-React handoff, and interfaces that hold up under real constraints, not ideal ones.
I don't wait for a fully-formed brief. I help frame the problem when no one's sure what it is yet.
I design the model underneath the interface — states, flows, edge cases — so the product scales past version one.
Runway, headcount, and speed are design inputs, not excuses. I ship inside real constraints, not ideal ones.
Featured case studies
Four roles that show the range — regulated banking platforms, an internal trading tool, and a multi-platform product suite.
As lead designer on the O-LBB platform, I own cross-platform interface consistency and maintain the design system that keeps BMO's commercial banking tools cohesive at scale.
Read the case studyI designed the user journeys for VISION, TD's internal Treasury Reporting application — embedded with Agile developers and delivering Figma-to-React-ready flows in a regulated environment.
Read the case studyAs product designer for SIRVA's Web Responsive and Mobile teams, I worked across ReloAccess and SIRVA Connect+ — two products serving relocating employees and the coordinators supporting them.
Read the case studyI owned the Event Portal domain for MyConferenceSuite start to finish — Figma flows, prototypes, and cross-functional workshops that shipped features directly to production.

The rest of the résumé — a contract role, a civic project, and two startups I helped build from the ground up.
Lead Product Designer (Contract). Design system consistency across LCBO purchase platforms and internal government sign-on portals.
Associate Product Designer. Built the MyMilton city-wide app, City Hall touchscreen kiosks, and the Events Hub & complaint portal.
Founding Designer, ~1 year. OHANA's "Be Free" platform lets people own and earn from their own telecom & data — instead of paying for it.
Founding Designer, ~1 year. A caregiving marketplace connecting seniors and their families with vetted, trustworthy caretakers.
Process
Not a rigid ritual — a repeatable way of reducing risk before pixels get precious.
I start with the business problem, not the design brief. Interviews, analytics, support tickets, and sales call recordings tell me more than a Figma file ever will.
Before any UI, I align the team on what we're actually solving, how we'll know it worked, and what real constraints — technical, regulatory, timeline — the design has to live inside.
I work in flows and states before screens, then bring the same rigor to typography, spacing, and motion — the details that separate "functional" from "fundable."
Assumptions get tested with real users before engineering commits real time. I'd rather be wrong in a prototype than wrong in production.
I stay through launch — phased rollouts, dashboards to track the metrics we set in step two, and a retro on what the system should learn next.
Proof
I've shipped inside regulated banks and founded design at early-stage startups — the same rigor applies either way.
I join standups and sprint planning — I design with the team's context, not around it.
Figma flows and Anima prototypes handed off React-ready, so what ships matches what was designed.
